Privacy

What we store. Your account email and name, a hash of your password, hashed API keys, and usage records (character counts, timestamps, voice used) needed for quotas and billing.

Text you synthesize. Text is sent to our GPU synthesis service to generate audio and may be cached briefly to speed up repeated requests. We don't sell it or use it to train models without your consent.

Payments. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see them. Stripe shares with us only your subscription status and customer reference.

Cookies. Session cookies keep you signed in. Yalla also uses short-lived cookies for parent unlock and child learning mode. No third-party ad trackers.

Product measurement. We keep daily totals of demo and studio actions, such as starting audio and requesting a download, for up to 90 days. These counters contain the action, interface language, and demo/studio category, without your text, email, account ID, or a visitor identifier. This measurement respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

Drafts on your device. The studio saves drafts in your browser. When you continue from the demo to signup, your text and selected voice are temporarily kept in that tab so you can pick up in the studio. You can clear them by clearing the site's browser storage.

Yalla family learning preview. The current Yalla preview is restricted to the Sautna admin account. A parent creates one learner using a nickname and avatar. A separate learning database stores the parent account reference, timezone, consent version and date, activities, responses, progress and family practice confirmations. Yalla does not collect child passwords, dates of birth, photos, microphone recordings or messages, and does not run advertising or demo/studio measurement counters.

Yalla controls and storage. Unlock Parent space with your account password to edit the learner, download their data or delete their profile and learning history. Deletion removes this data from the active learning database and ends Yalla learning sessions. Full account deletion also removes the account's Yalla learner data. Copies may remain in retained backups until those backups are removed. Unfinished adventures can resume for seven days; expiry ends resumption and does not automatically erase the learning history. Your listening speed is saved in browser session storage. The admin recording workspace can save review drafts there too. Using Yalla’s “Lock & sign out” clears these Yalla preferences and this family’s review drafts in the current tab. Other open tabs may retain their browser storage. Editorial recording review records are separate from learner history.
